Dr Raboobee is the President of both the Dermatological Society and the Vitiligo Society of South Africa. He serves on the Medical Advisory board of the Global Vitiligo Foundation and is a member of the International Vitiligo Task Force.

He has served as a senior lecturer at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine and consultant at King Edward VIII Hospital in Durban, and as an examiner for the College of Medicine of South Africa.
