Dr. Margarida is the secretary general of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, she is the head of the department of dermatology of the university hospital, Coimbra Local Health Unit, Portugal.

She is also the vice-director of the faculty and professor of dermatology, faculty of medicine, university of Coimbra, Portugal.
