Dr. Abdel Daymen started his career as an Intern in Ain Shams University Hospitals from 1972 – 1973. After being a resident for two years (1973-1975), Dr. Hussein became the Assistant Lecturer of Dermatology and Venereology in the Ain Shams School of Medicine from 1975 – 1980, he later took the position of a Lecturer of Dermatology and Venereology at the Ain Shams School of Medicine from 1980 – 1985, Dr. Abdel Dayem was later appointed the Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at the Ain Shams School of Medicine from 1985 – 1990 and Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at the Ain Shams School of Medicine from 1990 – 1993.

Dr. Humaid Al Wahshi obtained his medical degree from Sultan Qaboos University, in Oman in 1997. Dr. Hussain’s main clinical interests are in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and his main research interests are in highlighting surgical techniques that provide patients with the best results.
He is regularly invited to lecture throughout the world and continues to be one of the most widely published dermatological surgeons in the UK. Prof. H Francois Jordaan qualified as a medical doctor in 1972 (MBCHB/US) as a dermatologist in 1982 (MMED/US) and has followed an academic career since. He was associate professor, principal specialist and head of the Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Stellenbosch and Tgerberg Hospital South Africa from 2003-2013.
He is an honorary consultant at the Department of Anatomical Pathology at the same institution. Prof. Jordaan acts as dermatopathology consultant for private pathology practices in the Western Cape and as a clinical consultant for the Tygervalley Skin and Laser Centre. He was actively involved in the teaching of skin signs of HIV/AIDS in the Eastern Cape and to caregivers from other African countries.
He is member of the EXCO of the Dermatological Society of South Africa, an honorary member of the Indian Society of Dermatopathology and full member of the South African Academy for Science and Arts. He is also an honorary member of the Dermatological Surgical Society of South Africa. Prof. Jordaan regularly conducts clinicopathological seminars at other teaching centres in SA. He is involved in teaching of pregraduate and postgraduate students on a daily basis. He regularly invigilates in the part 1 and 2 examinations for registrars in dermatology. He published 54 manuscripts in peer review journals, numerous papers in non-peer review journals (eg Diseases of The Skin, SA Derm Review, JACI) and presented papers and posters at national (more than 40) and international congresses. His main interests are dermatopathology, skin signs of systemic disease, skin signs of HIV/AIDS, cutaneous tuberculosis and pediatric dermatology.
Prof. Jordaan retired in 2013 on reaching the age of 65. He was appointed on a sessional basis (2 X 4 hours per week) by the US and PAWC from 2014. Prof. Jordaan is still actively involved in all aspects of dermatology-teaching, service, administration, research and outreach. In August 2016, The Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Dermatology was awarded to Prof. Jordaan.

From 2004 until 2008, Dr. Laubach has received his training as clinical research fellow at the Wellman Center of Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.
Upon his return to Europe, he helped build up the laser dermatology unit at the University of Münster, Germany. In 2010, Dr. Laubach moved to Paris where he worked together with Dr. Fusade, co-founder and past president of the Laser Group of the French Dermatological Society (SFD). Dr. Laubach was, during this time in Paris, also co-director of one of the world’s largest laser hair removal center. Dr. Laubach is currently in charge of the laser consultation in Switzerland’s largest hospital – the university hospital of Geneva.
Dr. Laubach is the author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters. He has contributed to the development of various technological systems. Those systems, like fractional photothermolysis, cryolipolysis, and focused ultrasound, are now used daily in the dermatological office setting. He also has been a principal investigator and co-investigator in multiple clinical research trials.
In addition, Dr. Laubach has been an ongoing reviewer of scientific articles for various medical journals. For many years, he has lived his passion in training residents and physicians in laser and cosmetic dermatology. He also is a frequent invited lecturer on these topics at national and international medical meetings.
He is the president of the European Society for Laser in Dermatology since October 2015. He is also an active member of the Board of the Aesthetic and Corrective Dermatology Groupe (GDEC) and on the scientific committee of the French Laser Group (GL), both subgroups of the French Society for Dermatology (Société Française de Dermatologie, SFD).

Dr. Matusiak has participated in numerous clinical trials (Phase I, II, III and IV) for Regeneron, Intendis (Bayer), Janssen-Cilag, Orfagen (Pierre-Fabre), Wyeth (Pfizer), Novartis, Actelion, AMGEN, and Abbvie – as sub-investigator or study coordinator. He graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Beth Israel where I served as Chief Resident. Dr. Rossi has a specialized training and expertise in surgery, lasers, cosmetics, non-invasive methods of imaging skin.
His research interests are the use of non-invasive imaging and lasers for the management and treatment of nonmelanoma and melanoma skin cancers. He is also very interested in the use of cosmetic dermatology to improve the quality of life of cancer survivors. Dr. Rossi examined the quality of life impact that radiation induced breast telangiectasias may have on women treated for breast cancer and subsequently utilizing a laser to remove these.
Dr. Rossi also serves on numerous committees for the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the New York State Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Society. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters on topics such as cutaneous oncology as well as treatment of scars and I actively participate in the education of residents, medical students, and fellows. Dr. Anthony is a peer review editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and on the editorial board of Cutis. He continues his passion to volunteer internationally providing dermatologic care in remote areas of Ghana, Botswana, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Prof. Ruszczak has over 30 years experience in clinical and experimental dermatology, both in academia and innovative biotechnology industry. He is German Board certified in Dermatology and in Allergy, Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and European Society of Pediatric Dermatology.
Prof. Ruszczak presented over 470 lectures on national and international conferences, published over 125 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, numerous book chapters, including the upcoming Springer’s “Disorders of Pigmented Ethnic Skin”, and is the editor of the section “Pediatric Dermatology” in another Springer’s masterpiece “Textbook of Clinical Pediatrics”. He serves as invited speaker and faculty member of The American Academy of Dermatology and The World Congress of Dermatology and World Congress of Pediatric Dermatology since many years.
Being a former Medical Director and Head of R&D at a leading US biotechnology company, Prof. Ruszczak holds multiple world patents in biotechnology and local drug delivery systems. He is also a Visiting Professor and Consultant of Dermatology at the Rutgers University of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, USA.
Prof. Ruszczak main interest is in Skin Immunology, Pediatric Dermatology, Allergy, Wound Management and galenic formulation of drugs.
