Dr. Sujay fields of interest are, dermatopathology, photodermatology, immunodermatology,
vesicobullous diseases, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, leprosy, and lasers. He has done 174 scientific publications, 48 chapters, edited 3 books and 2 CDs. He has delivered over 130 lectures in various international and national conferences.

Dr. Khandpur was the Founding Editor-in-Chief Indian Journal of Dermatopathology and Diagnostic Dermatology, Associate Editor IJDVL (2012-14), Associate Editor IADVL Textbook of Dermatopathology. Reviewer for journals like Dermatology, BJD, Clinical & Experimental Dermatology and Indian Paediatrics. He was the President IADVL Delhi branch 2020, Secretary Dermatopathology Society of India (2017-2020), Vice President DSI (2021-22), Coordinator SIG Dermatopathology (2016-17), member IADVL Textbook advisory committee 2013, National Therapeutic Guidelines Committee of IADVL (2006- 10), National Task Force on Therapeutic guidelines on Dermatosurgery, IADVL (2008- 11), Special Interest Group on Clinical trials and Research Methodology of IADVL 2015, Academic Committee Asian Society of Dermatopathology.

Dr. Sujay has won the Dr. LN Sinha and Dr Ganapati Panja memorial awards from National IADVL, Bishnupriya Devi award by IJDVL twice. The IADVL Oration 2017 & the Dr. KC Kandhari memorial award from IADVL Delhi branch for overall contribution to Dermatology. He also has done a Dermatopathology- ICMR fellowship to University of California, San Francisco, USA, Photodermatology- Commonwealth Fellowship, UK and won travel fellowships to various international conference.
