Dr. Fassihi is a Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Lead for the National Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) Service at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas‘NHS Trust, London. She is also an Honorary Reader at King’s College London.

She is involved in translation research in Xeroderma Pigmentosum and other disorders of abnormal DNA repair and has collaborated with a number of international groups. She has published widely on different aspects of photodermatology and inherited skin disorders and has been invited to speak at many national and international conferences.
