Prof. Veronica Kinsler is a professor of Paediatric Dermatology and Dermatogenetics at Great Ormond Street (GOS) Hospital for Children and University College London (UCL), with her research lab based at the Francis Crick Institute in London. She trained in medicine at Cambridge, paediatrics and paediatric dermatology in London, and molecular genetics at UCL. Her clinical work is focused on rare paediatric skin conditions, in particular mosaic and/or pigmentary disorders. Her laboratory research is focused on identifying the genetic causes, and design or repurposing of targeted therapies. In parallel, the lab extrapolates findings to gain valuable insights into common conditions such as melanoma, and into normal human embryology.

Prof. Veronica is the current President of the European Society of Paediatric Dermatology, the World Congress of Paediatric Dermatology, the patient-professional group Naevus International, and she is senior editor of the Harper Textbook of Paediatric Dermatology. She also leads the team running online courses for all levels at www.paediatric-dermatology.com.
